Medical Members Forum: Radiation from Mobile Phones Increasing Tumors |

I was browsing the recent articles of Digg.com and stumbled upon a pretty scary scientific article having to do with the link between mobile phone usage and brain tumors due to radiation (article link below). I am not sure if this debate has sprung up before in this medical members forum but wanted to hear your thoughts.
The study was conducted by Dr. Vini Khurana who has been a leading neurosurgeon for almost 2 decades. He thought that “there is a significant and increasing body of evidence for a link between mobile phone usage and certain brain tumors(The Independent).” He then went on to report that cell phones should only be used in emergencies and that we will see the affects of high volume cell usage in a decade.
Until then this idea is up for discussion in any medical members forum. If you look up the word “brain tumor” in an online medical dictionary you will find out that it is a terminal diagnosis. Scary. I really hope this study focused on biased information and is not true. This could be a world wide problem.
