The Right Way To Use An Online Medical Dictionary |

When it comes to using an online medical dictionary you have two choices. You can use an online medical dictionary to check your symptoms in order to determine whether you may have a health problem that warrants a visit to the doctor. This is the sensible way of using an online medical dictionary. I used an online medical dictionary is this way once and I found out that I could possibly have Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD). A visit to my doctor confirmed that I did have PMDD. He prescribed the appropriate medication and recommended some dietary changes. I take the medication and I followed his advice. Consequently I feel much better now. The second way of using an online dictionary is flawed. Hypochondriacs all over the world are using one online medical dictionary or another to drive themselves and their doctors crazy. Whenever they experience even the mildest symptom the hypochondriac uses an online medical dictionary. They tend to look for the most serious illness associated with that symptom and convince themselves that their days are numbered. The truth is that most health symptoms are not related to anything serious and should not be a cause for alarm. That does not mean you should not see your doctor when you feel decidedly ill. It simply means that if you cannot use an online medical dictionary sensibly it is best to avoid them altogether for the sake of your mental health.
