Herbs at My Windowsill |
| 10/13/2008 11:48:34 PM |
One of the perfect spot for herbs is on the windowsill. Herbs can grow very well where the sun's light is just right and the humidity and temperature could just be excellent. A south-facing unheated sun room is ideal. Most herbs prefer lean soil that drains very well. Let the plant dry out, shake off the needles for cooking and discard the rest.
Windowsill herbs include dill, thyme, parsley, and basil.
Why don't you try having these herbs at home on your windowsill. Check out for these herbs in your local garden herb store.

Healing Wonders of Nature |
| 9/10/2008 6:18:55 AM |
| I write these things to share my belief that God has not created us so as to leave us. He continuously lives with us; and his presence can be much felt through nature. The healing wonders of nature is God's healing touch to us---His children. Understand the cycles of nature, and you may understand your life. Listen to the voice of nature in creation, you might hear God. Feel its wonders, you will surely experience the presence of the Divine. ---BrodNeil--- There are many herbs, plants, minerals, and fruits that we could use in place of drugs. And these can be very effective. Having them in your backyard can be consequently much less expensive. The herbs, plants, fruits, procedures, and suggestions are gathered through the different experiences and research of persons or groups who share the same vision of spreading Health and Wellness to the rest of humanity and creation.Nature is God's physician. the pure air, the glad sunshine, the flowers and trees, the orchards and vineyards, and outdoor exercises amid these surroundings, are health-giving, life-giving. Elumea is an Herbal Remedy for Boils and Abscesses |
| 9/9/2008 2:32:02 AM |
Elumea otherwise known as Ngaicamphor, Alimon, Sambong, and many other local names depending on country and region is an excellent remedy for boils and abscesses.
Its scientific name is Blumea Balsamifera.
This is another healing wonders of nature in the form of herb. Herbs are generally these days "PATOK" meaning "IN". Hope it will not just be a fad; all these herbs are wonders of God's loving concern for his people---US.
Herbs are created for humanity and the rest of the creatures to keep us healthy and well. Hence we should also nurture them and love them.
How do we use Elumea to treat boil and abscess?
- Chop five (5) fresh leaves
- Apply them directly as poultice on the wound and surrounding area.
- Apply this twice a day
This is as simple as that. In using herbs, we don't have a lot of rituals to do that. Herbs are supposed to help man needed and as needed. Herbs are not substitutes to modern medicince. They can be great supplements though.
